In Bulgaria, the Belogradchik Rocks await us, where we will cross, on foot, hiking trails that stretch for a length of about 30 km, among the most spectacular rock formations in the Balkans, considered the natural wonders of the country, some of them reaching 200 meters high.

The rocks surrounding the town of Belogradchik are rock formations formed by the erosion of sandstone layers and Triassic conglomerates. The enchanting natural monuments have been sculpted by rainwater and winds over a period of 200 million years, transforming the deformed stone into sculptures that bring with mythical creatures, human silhouettes, animals and birds. The Belogradchik cliffs have been declared a natural monument since 1949.

The flora of this area includes countless species of rare plants, protected by law, which are found in the Red Book of Bulgaria, and the fauna is represented by the imperial eagle, owls, black stork, wolves, wild boars and shovel deer.

Belogradchik Trail Adventure, which will take place on June 26^th 2021, aims to promote green tourism by exploring, on foot, some mountain trails, which run through forests of oaks, hornbeams and numerous meadows.
