The ACTIS Club Association organized the second hiking event for nature lovers and outdoor walks through the green tourism and beaches on the Insula Mare in the Green Tourism Products project.
In the last weekend of June I crossed the hiking trail on the Insula Mare in the area of Calarasi - a place of paradise in which refuge species of birds and rare animals, mostly covered with forests that are intertwined with beautiful lianas and vine- wild wildlife.
Danube Trail Adventure continues the series of HIKE for FUN sports events that aim to promote ecological tourism and natural areas on the Danube and Borcea, where the delta flora and fauna are of unique beauty! By exploring the Insula Mare on foot, on the hiking trails identified here, in the heart of nature, we ventured on lesser-known paths that hide a breathtaking natural wealth along the Danube.
The great island of Calarasi (Insula Mare), which is insufficiently promoted and, implicitly, unknown by tourists, is an exceptional natural area, where the most beautiful endangered birds reside: the blue fisherman, various species of hawks, Danube falcons, white tailed eagles, terns, whitethroats, siskins and goldfinches.
The 4-day event, designed for a limited number of participants - 20 people, meant a beautiful footprint in the middle of nature to admire nature on the banks of the Danube, relaxation and new friendships a beautiful young gang of values and common passions for nature, alongside which we spent quality time, outdoors, campfire and camping under the open sky on the Insula Mare.
Recall that through HIKE for FUN, which started in June with Island Trail, we aim to promote green tourism and natural areas along the Danube by exploring hiking trails identified in the heart of nature, along the Danube River, the binder joining the two cross-border countries - Romania and Bulgaria.
The hiking events take place within the cross-border project "Green Tourism Products", implemented by ACTIS Club Calarasi Club Association, as leader, together with the ARETE-SPORT Association from Kula (Vidin) and the Association for the Improvement of Interpersonal Relationships (AIRI) „Harald Gormsson” from Mavrodin (Teleorman) as partners, the project being financed under the INTERREG V-A Romania - Bulgaria Program, Priority Axis 2 „A green region”.
Project "Green Tourism Products" (Green Tour Pro) ROBG291 is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg V-A Romania – Bulgaria Programme.
Total eligible value of the project: 498 884.65 euro
