Constantina Diță, the 2008 Beijing Olympic marathon champion, has been named ambassador of the World Half Marathon Championships in Gdynia, Poland, which will take place on Saturday, October 17th.
We had the greatest honour of having her by our side at the first RUN for FUN event organized in Calarasi last spring. Constantina Diță, the national symbol of endurance and absolute will, joined our initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle through sports, an initiative we started within the "Green Tour Pro" project.
The athlete who amazed the world of world sports in 2008, at the Olympics, becoming the oldest gold medallist in the history of the marathon race organizes in Romania, one of the most beloved international running competitions in Bucharest - Bucharest International 10K.
`This year I could not organize Bucharest International 10K due to the pandemic, but I hope that next year everything will return to normal. It is an event in which I put all my heart and strength. The news that I will be the ambassador of the competition in Gdynya honours me and shows that my performances in world athletics have been spread and appreciated all around the world`, said Constantina Diță, for Digi Sport.
