The first hiking adventure in nature!

Once the "Green Tour Pro" Tourist information center was opened, we launched the "Trail Adventure in CBC area" tourist package, created exclusively for the adventurous, outdoor enthusiasts who want to spend their free time in the middle of unaltered nature on the Romanian-Bulgarian cross-border shores, along the Danube river!

At the request of a group of 12 enthusiastic tourists from Constanta, Bucharest and Calarasi, we organized, between June 4th - 8th, the first adventure tour in nature on the hiking route identified on the Great Island, which is located in the southern part of Calarasi.

The hiking trail in the heart of nature took place on lesser known paths, which hide an amazing natural wealth, which enriches from year to year, to offer us a unique and so diverse spectacle through the existing deltaic flora and fauna, along the Danube river.

For this five-day adventure, we provided tourists with camping and hiking equipment, which consisted of tents, sleeping bags, camping furniture and cooking accessories, as well as backpacks, hiking poles and headlights. The equipment, purchased within the "Green Tourism Products" project, was offered to be used by the tourists free of charge, which was returned to the center, at the end of the hiking adventure in nature.

Starting from the desire to promote the green banks of the Danube and to make known the cultural and natural heritage of the northern and southern areas of the Danube, ACTIS Sports Club Association, as lead partner of the "Green Tourism Products" project, wants to capitalize on this opportunity during the sustainability period, by proposing a tourist package, accessible and ecological, in the Romanian-Bulgarian cross-border region.

The tourist package comes to promote green tourism, by exploring, on foot, almost 20 hiking and running (marathon) routes identified in the Romania - Bulgaria cross-border area, in the heart of nature, on the green banks, along the Danube river.

We mention that “Trail Adventure in CBC area” is a tourist package developed during the sustainability period of the “Green Tourism Products” project (short for Green Tour Pro), co-financed by the European Union, through the European Regional Development Fund, within the INTERREG V-A Romania-Bulgaria programme.
