The Great Island from Calarasi - the perfect destination for active tourists, lovers of unaltered nature

The Great Island, located on the right bank of the Borcea arm, in a special natural setting, is by far the perfect place to relax during the summer, but not only in Calarasi.

Here the options for spending free time are diverse, which are more and more attractive for active tourists thirsty for outdoor movement, whether we are talking about hiking, running or swimming.

Here the Great Beach offers special conditions for relaxation - the finest sand, umbrellas, sunbeds, grass football field, tennis courts with feet, sand volleyball, sand football, bar and barbecue, camping and special accommodation.

In this corner of heaven, rare species of birds and animals find refuge, being largely covered with forests on which beautiful lianas and wild vines intertwine. Here live the most beautiful endangered birds: the blue gull, various species of herons, the Danube falcon, the white-tailed eagle, the pond tern, the woodpeckers, and many other bird species.

Therefore, for this year we chose the Great Island, unique in terms of fauna and flora in Romania, to be our main destination for our hiking events.

The Trail Adventures in the CBC area evens have as their main objective the promotion of green tourism, by exploring, on foot, some hiking trails identified in lesser-known areas, in the heart of nature, on paths that hide an amazing natural wealth, which enriched from year to year, to offer us a unique and so diverse spectacle through the deltaic flora and fauna existing along the Danube River.
