First edition RUN for FUN - Mamaia
On Sunday, April 14, the ACTIS Club Club Association in Calarasi gave the first edition of RUN for FUN - Mamaia! The marathon took place on the cliff in the Mamaia resort, consisting of four routes - for all categories of participants - from beginners to runners to experienced ones.
In total, about 200 Romanian and Bulgarian runners took part in RUN for FUN Mamaia - from amateur movement to performance athletes from children to elderly people - eager to spend Sunday in an active way through outdoor and fun.
The RUN for FUN event, like Calarasi one day before, started the campaign against sedentarism in Constanta, which aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and which wants to become sport "matter mandatory "in everyone's life.
Dumitru Răducanu, Romanian gold medal winner at the Barcelona Olympic Games, currently coach at CS Farul Constanţa, officially opened RUN for FUN - Mamaia, together with Daniel Bănăţeanu, president of ACTIS, speaking to the participants about the importance of practicing sport as a style a healthy life, being himself a national sporting symbol and an active supporter of mass sports in general.
In a less friendly time, the RUN for FUN marathon represented for the 200 Romanians and Bulgarians, a euphoric, uncompetitive race without a podium and no registration costs, through which joy and fun were celebrated by movement. Finally, the participants were rewarded with many surprises, consisting of various promotional materials produced within the project "Green Tourism Products".

RUN for FUN - Mamaia promises a second edition of the year with more surprises and more fun! The event took place under the aegis of "Green Tourism Products", a project implemented by ACTIS Club Calarasi Club Association, under the INTERREG V-A Romania - Bulgaria Program, Priority Axis 2 "A green region".
"Green Tourism Products" is a project developed in partnership by ACTIS Calarasi Sports Club Association, as project leader, together with ARETE - SPORT Association of Vidin and Harald Gormsson Association for the Improvement of Interpersonal Relationships (AIRI) in Mavrodin, in the as partners. The financing contract was signed in the summer of 2018 and has an 18-month run until January 2020. For the "Green Tourism Products" project, tourist products have been developed for nature lovers and outdoor movement unusual, through hiking and running events in the area of natural and cultural sites in the Romanian-Bulgarian cross-border region.
