RUN for FUN - Calarasi: Outdoor fun!

On Saturday, April 13, the first edition of the RUN for FUN Marathon in Calarasi was launched! Dumbrava Park, the venue for the sporting event, was full of Romanian and Bulgarian runners - from amateur movement to performance athletes, eager to have fun outdoors.

More than 250 people, from children to elderly people, lined up at the start with emotion and craving for fun, although the weather was less friendly.

The RUN for FUN marathon launched the campaign against sedendarism, which aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and wants sport to become "compulsory" in everyone's life.

The RUN for RUN surprise was the presence of one of Romania's most important athletes, Constantina Dita, the only Marathon Olympic champion of our country, who officially opened the event and ran with all participants as a national symbol of endurance and will absolute, being one of the most active supporters of the outdoor movement and promoting the mass sport.

The marathon was an euphoric, uncompetitive race without a podium and no enrollment costs, through which joy and fun were celebrated by movement. Finally, the participants were rewarded on stage with many surprises, consisting of different promotional materials produced within the project "Green Tourism Products".
