The archaeological site of Zimnicea

Located in the southernmost point of Romania, it comprises a complex that stretched over a long period of bronze until medieval times. Here is the oldest Geto-Dacian fortress in Muntenia, Zimnidava, which will become, under the reign of Mircea the Elder, a medieval fortress named Dezimnikos.

Three porcine chestnuts (with a height of 17 m and circumferences of 3 m, 3,30 m and 2,80 m respectively), three oaks (with heights of 23 m, 25 m and 19 m and circumferences of 4,10 m, 2 , 80 m and 3 m respectively), and three Japanese acacia (22 m, 21 m and 19 m heights, and 3.20 m, 2.05 m and 2.25 m respectively), and one is located on Turnu Magurele (oak of 19.5 m height and 3.20 m in circumference) (source wikipedia.org)

Natural reserve of Suhaia Pond

Reservation on the territory of Suhaia commune and protected aquatic area, comprising 11 species of rare plants and wild birds protected at European level. Reservation area is 1455 hectares.
